Ok, Zenyatta. It was a good run. Zenyatta has never been beaten in 19 races, but on her 20th race, she gets beaten by Blame by this ( ) much (see photo) in the Breeders Cup today. Does anyone else see the irony in that name? Zenyatta has nobody to blame but herself…and, well, also maybe Blame.
All good things must come to an end. And you know…winning 19 out of 20 races isn’t something to be unhappy about as a horse enters retirement, trust me. Especially when that horse brings in over $6,000,000 to your owners. Daaaamn.
